This article is more than 8 years old.

Canonical is excited to announce that Azul Zulu 8 is now available in the Juju charm store. With 300 charms and growing, the Juju charm store is the destination for cloud-based enterprise applications.

Azul Zulu® is a certified, multi-platform build of OpenJDK that is compliant with the Java SE 8, 7, and 6 standards. As developers and operations teams accelerate their use of open source cloud-based Java, they need to be confident that their Java platform meets all the Java SE standards and incorporates the latest OpenJDK bug fixes and security patches.

Scott Sellers, Azul Systems President and CEO, said: “As Azul Zulu is now available in the Juju charm store, enterprises are able to instantly deploy Java applications using proven, certified builds of OpenJDK. For both private and public cloud deployments, software providers and developers can rest assured that they can use a Java runtime which meets all industry standards and performance criteria, is 100% open source, and is backed with world-class enterprise support.”

“We are pleased to announce Azul Zulu as the first fully-supported Java/OpenJDK distribution in Canonical’s Charm Partner Programme. The availability of Azul Zulu in the Juju Charm Store highlights Canonical’s focus on enterprise- ready infrastructure components,” said Stefan Johannsson, Global Director of Software Alliances.

Azul is a member of Canonical’s Charm Partner Programme, which helps solution providers make best use of Canonical’s software service modelling tool, Juju; enabling instant workload deployment, integration, and scaling at the click of a button. Juju makes it easy to deliver complete solutions in minutes, on virtually any public or private cloud.
