How to get Landscape
Landscape is part of Ubuntu Advantage, the service subscription offered by Canonical to organisations who want to get the most from their Ubuntu deployments. Because Landscape has been designed specifically to support Ubuntu deployments, it includes features that no platform-neutral systems management solution can offer. To put it simply, if you’re using Ubuntu at scale, you should be managing it with Landscape.
If you want to get Landscape before you commit to a subscription, you can access the full hosted service on a 30-day free trial.
“We worked very closely with Canonical. Their support has been invaluable in the development, deployment and support phases of the project.”
Antonio José Sáenz Albanés, Chief Technology Officer, Isotrol

Dedicated server available
Landscape is available as a hosted service delivered via the internet, or as a dedicated server installation behind your corporate firewall. Either way, the console can be accessed in any modern web browser.
Advantages of the hosted version include the fact that you don’t need to buy or support extra hardware to use it. Updates and new features are delivered automatically, without any need for management of the installation itself.
If you’d prefer a dedicated server running behind your firewall, Landscape can be installed on private hardware. The functionality of the dedicated version matches that of the hosted service exactly; the only difference is that you control the hardware.
As with the hosted service, the dedicated server option is only available as part of a subscription to Ubuntu Advantage, the support service from Canonical.
