The Technical Board

The Ubuntu Technical Board is responsible for the overall technical direction of Ubuntu. For the most part, individual developers and teams are best placed to make day-to-day decisions, but when technical issues cannot be resolved between individual developers, or when new development processes need to be put in place to ensure that the project runs smoothly, these may be brought to the Technical Board for resolution.

The Technical Board is always open to technical questions or concerns from developers, although may ask that they first be taken up with the teams most directly concerned.

Members of the Technical Board are elected for a term of two years.

For further information on the roles and responsibilities of the Technical Board and how to contact it, see its wiki page.
